The English Department of the University of Bucharest will hold its 25th Annual Conference from 14 to 16 June, 2024.

Papers are invited in:

1. Theoretical Linguistics (syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics and the interfaces, language acquisition)
2. Applied linguistics & translation studies

Our invited speakers are:

Theoretical linguistics
Elena Anagnostopoulou (University of Crete)
Ur Shlonsky (University of Geneva)

Applied linguistics & translation studies
Marinela Burada (Transilvania University of Brasov)

Presentations will be allocated 25 minutes each, plus 5 minutes for discussion. Abstracts should not exceed two A4 pages, Times New Roman 12, single spaced, and should be submitted to the following e-mail address: 25.aiced@gmail.com

A selection of the papers will be published in a collective volume.

Conference fee:

• 100 euro or 500 lei – early bird registration (May 1)
• 120 euro or 600 lei – late payment (after May 1)
• 50 euro or 250 lei – doctoral students
